Public Lecture Series: The Sustainable Development Goals in Context

Register now for the 4th edition of the ETH SDG Public Lecture Series taking place onsite and online between 27 Sep and 13 Dec 2023.

This year is the halfway point in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. But the world is far off track in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

What can we do about it? Given the multiple crises, how can we build momentum and accelerate progress? How can science and technology contribute?

Join the 4th edition of ETH Zürich’s Public Lecture Series “The Sustainable Development Goals in Context” from 27 September to 13 December 2023 to learn from thought leaders, cutting-edge research, and inspiring societal actors. The series consists of ten sessions, two of which will be in-person at ETH Zurich and eight online via Zoom.

NADEL's Isabel Günther will present a scientific perspective on Global Inequalities (11 October). Further sessions are dedicated to topics that can be explored in depth in the NADEL programmes, such as Food Systems and Food Policy (15 November 2023), Energy and Energy Access (15 November) or Conflict Mediation, Transitional Justice and Collective Memory (22 November).

The in-person Kick-off session on 27 September will feature a Keynote by Ambassador Nicole Ruder, Vice Director of SDC/DEZA, on "How has the 2030 Agenda changed international cooperation?".
