Job description


As part of the NADEL team, you will be responsible for designing and teaching several courses according to your academic background and practical experience. As part of your work, you will also be involved in mentoring our MAS and CAS students. You are expected to network within the ETH and to establish partnerships with various Swiss and international public and private organizations in order to integrate their practical experience into teaching and to foster the use of research in these organizations. Approximately two thirds of your work will be dedicated to teaching, mentoring and the related strategic and organizational tasks, and one third to scientific consulting, research, communication and/or other NADEL activities – depending on your interests.
Your profile

You have a university degree in natural sciences, engineering, social sciences or the humanities and at least three years of professional experience in the field of International Cooperation. You have in-depth conceptual knowledge and practical experience in one of these three areas:

- Topics related to working in fragile contexts, mediation and peace promotion, human rights, protection and humanitarian aid
- Ecological and climate-related development questions
- Designing and implementing projects for sustainable development with the private sector

Furthermore, you have the experience or ability to carry out academic and practice-oriented teaching. You are fluent in spoken and written English and can understand German. A doctorate and additional academic achievements are advantageous. Initiative, teamwork and learning new things are important to you.

Employment at ETH Zurich is limited to a maximum of six years. Remuneration is in accordance with the protected pageETH guidelines.
