Conflict Sensitivity and Peacebuilding – Tools and Approaches

Course objective:
Peace promotion has become an important area in international cooperation. Development organizations are increasingly confronted with conflict situations and are expected to contribute to the promotion of peace. This course provides an introduction to the topic of “conflict-sensitive” development cooperation. It presents an overview of methodological tools and approaches as well as the operational experiences of the different actors in the promotion of peace. The practical and political challenges of conflict-sensitive development cooperation are also discussed.
