Climate Change and Sustainable Development

This course aims to equip participants with a basic understanding of climate change topics as they relate to sustainable development, and to give them the tools to integrate climate change considerations into development projects.

Course objective: 

Climate change is already impacting every part of the globe, but these impacts are not felt equally. Lower income countries suffer disproportionately from the adverse consequences of climate change, although they are the least responsible. Climate change has taken a prominent position on the international development agenda and there is a growing need for people working in international cooperation to be familiar with climate change issues. The course aims to equip participants with a basic understanding of climate change topics as they relate to sustainable development, and to give them the tools to integrate climate change considerations into the planning and implementation of development projects.

Examination: A written assignment will be distributed during the course, and due 2 weeks after the course completion
