Strategies for Behaviour Change

This course equips participants to integrate behavior change into development interventions. It covers ethical considerations, social norm change, and principles for effective social and behaviour change communication.

Course objectives: 

Understanding how people make decisions and act on them lies at the heart of many development initiatives. This course introduces participants to key frameworks used for actively integrating behaviour change outcomes into development interventions. They explore the ethical dimensions of behavioural science approaches, and deepen their understanding of how social norms change.

Participants will also learn the principles of effective social and behaviour change communication strategies, and gain insights on the role of media in designing effective behaviour change interventions.

  • Designing behaviour change interventions and measuring norm change
  • Ethical concerns and limitations of behaviour change approaches
