The ETH Learning & Teaching Fair on 15 May 2024 serves as a platform for showcasing outstanding teaching approaches. It presents innovative teaching projects, provides inspiration and encourages the exchange of ideas for the further development of teaching.

ETH NADEL will be represented with its Interdisciplinary Sustainable Development Challenge: In this initiative, students enrolled in the MAS in Development and Cooperation in the autumn semester 2022 formed interdisciplinary teams and tackled real-life sustainable development challenges provided by international cooperation organisations. The challenges covered topics as diverse as food security in Tanzania, access to finance for smallholder farmers in the Bolivian Amazon, vocational training for green skills in Cambodia, and adaptation to climate change in Niger.
The project aimed to develop students' skills in systematically analysing sustainable development challenges, designing evidence-based solutions and fostering competencies such as problem solving, creativity, teamwork and communication.

The ETH NADEL Interdisciplinary Sustainable Development Challenge has been nominated for a KITE Award 2024. With this award, the Conference of Teaching Staff (KdL) honours an exceptionally innovative teaching project.
